This is our on ramp process which consists of 5-10 personal training sessions usually done one-on-one with your coach for life. During these sessions you will learn the movements and scaling options necessary to transition to group classes seamlessly. This process can also lead to you progressing into an individualized program such as IDP or more PT sessions.

Function: For those who are looking to create balance in fitness, stay active, and promote their lifestyle outside of the gym, “Function” is the perfect place to start your journey.
Fitness: For those looking for more complex movements and intensity, “Fitness” is designed for increasing competency in exercises beyond the “Function” category.
Performance: A program more advanced than what the weekend warrior is looking for, “Performance” serves those who are looking to really improve their work capacity and strength at a very high level of complexity and intensity. This program is centered around a more gymnastics and Olympic lifting oriented prescription.
The Heroes Journey Lite program is designed around those who have certain injuries, limitations, and other health problems, yet still want the benefits of exploring fitness within a group setting. We believe anyone can participate in fitness activities. In fact, for many people, fitness is the life-saving component that brings them back from disease. Through our Lite Program we will teach you the fundamentals of exercise with an emphasis on functional strength and aerobic conditioning for overall health and wellness.

Whether you are a seasoned athlete looking for guidance in your training, or someone who wants take serious steps towards better health, we will help you. The Individual Design Program includes:
Goal Setting and Goal Alignment: We will help determine what is important to you as an individual, what resources are needed to reach the goal, and what the appropriate path is to achieve it.
Movement Assessments: We will determine imbalances, weaknesses, and general investigations into current levels of fitness.
Nutritional Prescription: We will help create understanding and awareness of your individual energy needs, what to eat, and how to eat.
Program Design: We will design intelligent, effective exercise programs to help you reach your goals on the best path possible. There are no templates, or pre-designed workouts. Everything is designed around you — each and every day. Monthly consultations are available.
We will meet as much as is needed to make sure everything is going smoothly on your journey. We are passionate about serving you and developing real relationships with as much upfront and clear communication as possible.
For people looking for the most individualized approach, personal training is king. Heroes Journey is proud to offer fitness classes exclusively for kids! Our Little Heroes Group Fitness delivers quality training to kids ages 6-12. This 45-minute class is packed with all kinds of fun activities and learning opportunities for kids. We teach them the fundamentals of exercise, gymnastics, and other complex skills all through the lens of our core values. If you are looking for a program that instills within your children the importance of a healthy lifestyle while learning quality social interaction skills, the Little Heroes Group Fitness program is perfect.
For teenagers looking to improve performance in their sport, or who are serious about increasing their health and fitness, our teens program offers unparalleled programming and results. We are passionate about teaching adolescents how to properly train, eat, and recover from their workouts. Your teen will be put through intelligent weightlifting protocols for gains in strength, along with education and implementation of sound conditioning principles. We will encourage camaraderie, teamwork, and respect in an effective and safe training environment.
Whether you’re a beginner or a professional, this class is designed to help you move more efficiently in the Olympic lifts: Clean and Jerk and Snatch. The Heroes Journey Olympic Weightlifting class is coached by Lou Mangiaracina, national and international competitor. He competes for Team NJ and Metropolitan Elite weightlifting clubs. Coach Lou has been performing the Oly lifts since 1999. His coaching focuses on positivity, starting with the mindset of lifting and analyzing your own lifts. Technique is his primary concern in all classes.
This class is offered every other Tuesday from 7-8 pm.
Every Saturday morning, Heroes gather to put their fitness to the ultimate test! This is a chance for competitive members who attend class at various times during the week to gather together on a weekend, throw down, and push each other. The ins and outs of this class are more advanced and more focused on building better CF athletes than the workouts for the everyday class.
